As of June 2026, there are 2,781 reported African American Architects. By gender, this is 740 women, 2,040 men, and 1 non-binary person. This is currently a mix of entries from the former Directory of African American Architects (DAAA) and entries in this Directory of Diverse Architects and Designers (DDAD). We encourage anyone who was listed in the DAA to provide their information in the new DDAD as it was not possible to move that database to this new tool. We will continue to verify and cross-reference to ensure the number is as accurate as possible.
